Kanezako, a tea mountain in Yame Wanihachi. A north-facing tea mountain spanning an altitude of 550-600m.
Tea trees were planted on an area of about one cho (approximately 100m²), but about 80% of the tea plantation was abandoned. Although the conditions for sunlight and work efficiency were not ideal, the tea plantation was located at the highest point of the Wanihachi village. The owner of the garden was so enchanted by the area that he overcame opposition from the villagers and decided to develop it.
The tree is about 50 years old.
